IMPORTANT WEATHER UPDATE AS OF 5:30 A.M. SATURDAY, SEPT. 7

We're a rain-or-shine event:

Bike to Cure continues as planned, but come prepared for the weather

Other important notes:

  • All routes and volunteer shifts will start on time.
  • The weather forecast is wet, windy and cool. Please dress in extra layers.
  • Parking lots and shuttles (for people and bikes) are now open.

Bike to Cure is a rain-or-shine event and nothing can keep us from our mission to end cancer. We can't wait to see you on Mall B this morning as we bring the amazing VeloSano community together to kickoff our favorite day of the year! 

Weather-Related Safety Tips

  • Remember, Bike to Cure is a ride, not a race. Take your time and ride safely. This event follows a rules of the road and Riders are expected to obey all traffic signs and signals.
  • Safety Measures: All Riders are required to wear a helmet. We will implement additional precautions in light of potential weather conditions.
  • Support Hotline: If you need assistance, please call the number on your Rider wristband.
  • Visibility: Wear reflective gear and ensure your bike has front and rear lights.
  • Surface Hazards: Be cautious of slippery areas such as metal grates, railroad tracks, and painted lines. Slow down and proceed carefully.
  • Avoid Puddles: Ride around puddles whenever possible.
    Braking and Cornering: Brake gradually and avoid leaning too far forward when turning.
  • Stay Alert: Exercise extra caution throughout the ride.
